Powwownow required their website to be re-designed to be easier to use and coherent. The old website has been built on gradualy over the years and needed a complete new approach to allow a for better user-experience.
My new approach allowed the website to achieve easier navigation by looking at the user-journey and planning better use of the space in the header. With a boom in the use of smartphonesin 2012 I developed the website on a responsive framework. This enables the website to be viewed in the best way possible over various devices such as smartphones and tablets.
Zutekh is the brand of a popular Manchester based house and techno night that has been running for 4 years. Since starting the event they have had no online presence outside of their use of social networking for promotions. With that said they knew how important it was to have a website in order to grow the brand and take the night to new heights.
The website was designed to keep with the style that had been used in recent years with their flyers to develop that theme. The design was coded onto Wordpress in order to give them an easy way to manage every aspect of the content themselves. Each of the content areas of the website were coded to integrate seamlessly with the theme.
The Design Museum in London is moving to a new location in 2014 and hoping to attract more visitors. It wanted to take advantage of new media and find a way to encourage tourists traveling to Lond to come visit.
My Idea was to create a mobile app called ‘London in Design’ that targets tourists that visit London who have an interest in design. The concept acts as a virtual guide that informs users of different points of interest that feature some sort of design. When people first use the app these locations are locked, that is until the user has followed the basic compass to the Design Museum and checked-in. Once the user has done this they are allowed to use the app to navigate to other destinations around London.
Distinctive Drinks are a drinks exporter based in the UK that distribute drinks internationally. This means that a strong web presence is vital to engage potential customers from the other side of the world.
Their previous website was online for around 7 years and was still failing to generate adequate quality traffic. The job involved re-designing the website so that it would get picked up on search engines a lot better so a lot of considerations were made to ensure tags were places appropriately with the right keywords. The final result had a far stronger aesthetic quality than that of the original while also featuring a fully functioning CMS backend for the client to manage they’re website from an online interface.
